EBU provided broadcasting to its members by satellite connections. However, in front of the increase in the request for bandwidth, they started the deployment of a ground network per optical fibre between the most significant nodes.

Eurovision asked Macq Electronique to create the software and to establish the material necessary to the management of this DTM network from Geneva. The principal functions of the software must allow to:

• control the network equipments (Nimbra)

• show status of the network (available bandwidth, ports, etc)

• reserve the transmissions according to availability

• create and manage the roads

• ensure the technical management of the unit
